Meet Jane
Behind every Born Bold kitten is founder Jane Cockerton, an award-winning breeder and qualified feline behaviour professional dedicated to raising healthy, confident Sphynx and Elf cats.
Jane combines years of hands-on breeding experience with a BSc (Hons) in Biological Science and formal qualifications in feline behaviour, including a Certificate in Cat Psychology and Training and a Diploma in Feline Behaviour Science and Technology from CASI (Companion Animal Sciences Institute).
Jane is also registered as a Professional with the Pet Professional Guild Australia (PPGA), reflecting her commitment to ethical, welfare-focused and evidence-based approaches to feline behaviour, training and care.
As founder of The Smart Cat Society, Jane helps cat owners across Australia better understand feline behaviour through education, behaviour consultations, positive reinforcement training and practical support.
For Jane, breeding doesn’t end when a kitten goes home. Every Born Bold family receives ongoing support, guidance and qualified behaviour advice throughout their cat’s life.

Every Born Bold Sphynx and Elf cat is raised in a purpose-built environment designed to promote health, confidence and wellbeing. Our facilities include clean indoor living areas, secure outdoor enrichment spaces and dedicated kitten rooms where every kitten can safely explore, learn and develop. We believe exceptional breeding is about more than beautiful kittens. Daily enrichment, positive human interaction, early socialisation and careful management help produce healthy, confident companions that are well prepared for family life.
Every area of our cattery has been designed to exceed basic standards, supporting physical health, mental stimulation and confident development from birth through to joining their new families.
