The Sydney Royal Easter Show 2026 was one of the most rewarding events in Born Bold Cats’ journey, combining success in the show ring with the opportunity to educate thousands of visitors about the incredible potential of cats.

A major highlight was Sir Dobby’s live stage appearance alongside Farmer Dave, where together they demonstrated the intelligence, confidence and trainability of companion cats. With an audience of approximately 500 people, the presentation challenged long-held myths about feline behaviour and showed how positive reinforcement, enrichment and trust can unlock remarkable abilities in cats. Watching the crowd’s reactions as Sir Dobby performed was an unforgettable experience and a proud moment for The Smart Cat Society.

The show ring was equally rewarding, with our cats representing Born Bold Cats with confidence and professionalism throughout the event. Their calm temperaments, outstanding presentation and strong results reflected years of ethical breeding, early socialisation and positive training.

Beyond the competition and demonstrations, one of the greatest rewards of Sydney Royal 2026 was the friendships formed throughout the event. We were especially grateful to meet the wonderful team at TrueEco, whose shared passion for animal welfare, sustainability and education made for an inspiring partnership that we look forward to building into the future.

Sydney Royal Easter Show continues to be one of Australia’s premier animal events, and we are incredibly proud to play a role in educating the public, promoting responsible cat ownership and demonstrating that cats are intelligent, capable companions deserving of greater recognition.

We would like to thank everyone who visited our displays, attended the stage presentation and supported our mission to change the way people think about cats. We are already looking forward to returning next year.
